To most people Halloween is just a day of fun and sweets but unwittingly they are paying homage to Satan himself. The 31st of October is the highest day of the year for the occult akin to Christians celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Here is a video covering the dark origins of Halloween: Halloween’s Origins will SHOCK You! – Candid Truth YouTube
About Halloween the Encyclopedia Britannica states:
“In ancient Britain and Ireland, the Celtic festival of Samhain was observed on October 31 at the end of the summer … The souls of the dead were supposed to revisit their homes on this day and the autumnal festival acquired sinister significance, with ghosts, witches, goblins, black cats, fairies and demons of all kinds said to be roaming about. It was the time to placate the supernatural powers controlling the processes of nature. In addition, Halloween was thought to be the most favorable time for divinations concerning marriage, luck, health, and death. It was the only day on which the help of the devil was invoked for such purposes.” (Encyclopedia Britannica, 2005, “Halloween”)
The bible clearly warns us numerous times to stay away from witchcraft and sorcery. In Galatians 5:19-21 Pauls says “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Other Bible verses warning against witchcraft and explaining some of the consequences of taking part are: 1 Samuel 15:23, 2 Kings 9:22, 2 Chronicles 33:6, Micah 5:12 and Nahum 3:4.
Many Christians ignore or gloss over the warnings against witchcraft. It’s easy to fool ourselves into thinking it’s ok to celebrate Halloween because we’re not doing witchcraft unfortunately celebrating Halloween is taking part. We also need to remember that God will not accept worship unless it is intentional. If someone who is not a believer is forced to go to church and worship, then God will not accept their worship because it is not from the heart. Satan, however, will happily take all worship even if it is forced or by deceit. Even if we say “We’re only doing this because the children are having fun, it’s not for satan.”
The most common excuse I hear or read is “oh it’s only a bit of fun, my children dress as cartoon characters not evil witches or zombies etc.” It doesn’t matter what our children are wearing, although cartoon characters are not as innocent as they seem, most cartoons nowadays are based on “do as thou wilt” (do what you want, forget the rules – satanic motto) and often include spiritualism in ghostly characters etc (witchcraft). If anyone is celebrating Halloween, taking part in parties, trick or treating etc they are participating in the worship and celebration of our enemy.
Ex-Occultist Jenny Weaver warns “Halloween is steeped in demonic rituals, people think it’s innocent, but the origins are rooted in the worship of the dead and spirits. We can’t compromise by changing it into a Christian holiday.”
Another ex-Occultist John Remirez also said “I tell you, it boggles my mind how you can have a one-night stand with the devil and then say you love Jesus.” Imagine your wife or husband saying I love you but I’m going to sleep with your enemy once a year! I’m guessing you wouldn’t be very happy.
“The founder of the Church of Satan once thanked Christian parents for allowing their children to celebrate the devil”
“You’re still celebrating a demonic holiday… Why would you celebrate something that opens doors to darkness?”
“You are giving your children over to the enemy.”
God cannot protect us or most importantly our children when we are opening doors for Satan and his demons to stroll in unless we close those doors, repent and ask for protection. We can’t continue to engage in evils and expect God to help us.
There is absolutely nothing innocent about Halloween. Halloween will certainly not be celebrated in Heaven.
Those Christians who insist on celebrating Halloween are as Mark described in chapter 7 verse 8 “…laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men…” and Paul warns in Colossians 2:8 “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”
To my fellow Christians do not be deceived (as warned by Jesus in Matthew 24) please let go of tradition and let 2025 be the year that you declare your true, uncompromising and unmovable love for Jesus Christ by not celebrating satans day.
